Interested in joining?!

Terms are 3 year commitments (April through March). Board members are expected to attend one, 1-hr board meeting each month as well as one, 1-hr committee meeting as scheduled (typically each month, sometimes less), special events, etc. Board members are expected to donate any time and resources they can. Board Interest Forms are now being accepted for an April 1 term start.

If you (or someone you know) might be interested in serving, please complete the following steps:

  1. Watch this quick video/webinar to learn more about what board membership entails. (Some things are out-of-date, but it will give a great first glance!)

  2. Complete an Application of Interest (*not* a binding application!) CLICK HERE

  3. Within one week, we will contact you to set up a time to chat. Come in (can also be done via zoom) for an informational meetup with the Executive Director & a representative from the Board Development Committee to talk more about board service, MCUM, and any questions or concerns you've got!

Committee Service

All Board members serve on at least one committee - while many choose to serve on two. We also have non-board member positions available on most committees. Please contact our Board Development Chair for more information.

Our standing committees are:

  • Board Development
  • Program
  • Personnel
  • Finance
  • Fundraising

Most committees meet monthly, although circumstances may call for more or fewer meetings. Typically, meetings have been held at MCUM, at a committee member's place of work, or on Zoom, and last about one hour.
