Self-Sufficiency Center
We're here for you!
MCUM's Self-Sufficiency Center provides both basic needs assistance and longer-term self-sufficiency services to Monroe County residents.
Basic needs can be in the form of groceries, cleaning and hygiene products, financial assistance to cover rent or utilities expenses, and clothing and small housewares.
Self-Sufficiency services include creating savings accounts and plans, pursuing better employment or education opportunities, creating connections to other agencies, and more.

If we can’t do it here, we will help you find someone who can! We work with a variety of other organizations in Monroe County and would be happy to introduce you to them. Some of our most common referrals include:
