Each One, Feed One is our annual community food drive across Monroe County, generating roughly 6-8 tons of food for our Self-Sufficiency Center’s client-choice pantry over the course of just one weekend.
This year, mark your calendars for the week of June 27-28.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, rather than encourage mass shopping and donating, we are setting up drop-off locations across Monroe County where you can donate non-perishable items, contact-free.
You can also donate money, here.
Volunteers always play a huge role in making Each One, Feed One successful, and although the volunteer role looks a bit different this year, we still need you to help make this drive a huge success.
We are looking for volunteers to host a drop-off site for food and cleaning/hygiene products at their homes, offices, etc. where your neighbors and passers-by can leave their items during the collection period. These donations will be picked up after the drive and taken to MCUM – all you have to do is supply the space, whether it is a tarp on your driveway, a bin at your place of work, or any other creative thing you can imagine.
To host a drop-off site, email Madison at email@example.com or click here to see the list of neighborhoods we are looking for hosts in!
