Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) offers
Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) Tax Credits annually for distribution
by 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations. These agencies use NAP Tax Credits
as an incentive to help leverage increased contributions from individuals and
businesses for certain neighborhood-based programs and projects.

How It Works

When you donate to MCUM through NAP, you will receive a
tax credit equal to 50% of your gift. This means that a $1,000 donation
will earn you a $500 tax credit on your Indiana State Tax form.

You can apply this credit towards your state taxes to reduce your state tax liability.
However, this is not a tax deduction. You will not receive extra refund money if you do not
have any tax liability or if your tax credit exceeds your tax liability.

2017 NAP Cycle

NAP tax credits sell out quickly. We cannot guarantee credits.
The 2015 NAP Tax Credit cycle began July 1, 2017.
If you would like to donate and participate in our NAP program, here are the forms we need from you:
